Introduction

Thank you for your interest in Slydyn. This Privacy Statement explains how HiveAuto, Inc., d/b/a Slydyn (“Slydyn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our websites, mobile or other online applications, and related products and services (collectively, the “Slydyn Services” or “Slydyn”). By using Slydyn, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Statement.

Slydyn is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. If you are under 18, do not provide personal information to us. Slydyn is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

Information We Collect
Information you provide

We collect information you choose to provide, such as:

  • Contact details and identifiers, for example name, email address, mobile number, and account credentials.

  • Profile and preferences, for example communication preferences and service interests.

  • Appointment details, for example requested service, preferred date and time, vehicle and location details you choose to share.

  • Reviews, ratings, feedback, questions, and messages you submit.

  • Household sharing details, for example the contact information of recipients you authorize us to notify about appointments.

  • Dealer user information, for example business contact details, role, and billing or payment information for dealer fees.

Consumer payments. At this time, Slydyn does not collect deposits or prepayments from consumers. Consumers pay the service provider directly at the time of service, subject to the provider’s policies.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use Slydyn, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, such as:

  • Device and usage data, for example IP address, device and browser type, operating system, language, the pages you view, referring and exit pages, timestamps, and clickstream data.

  • Interaction data related to our messaging features, for example delivery status for SMS and email, and your interactions with those messages.

  • Approximate location derived from IP address or, if you allow it, precise location from your device settings to show nearby providers.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies such as pixels, tags, and local storage to operate and secure Slydyn, remember your preferences, measure performance, and help us understand how Slydyn is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through our cookie preferences tool. If you disable cookies, some features may not function properly.

Information from Dealers and Other Sources
  • Dealers: Dealers may share limited, non-content interaction metrics with us to support campaign measurement. Examples include call status such as answered, missed, or voicemail, timestamps and duration, and appointment lifecycle statuses such as requested, set, confirmed, rescheduled, canceled, completed, or no-show. Slydyn does not receive or store call audio.

  • Service providers and partners: We may receive information from providers that support Slydyn, for example analytics, hosting, communications, customer support tools, and payment processors for dealer fees.

  • Public and third-party sources: We may receive business contact information or directory data from publicly available sources or data partners.

How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

1. Provide, operate, and improve Slydyn, including appointment requests and scheduling tools.

2. Send transactional messages related to booking, changing, confirming, or canceling appointments by SMS or email.

3. Facilitate household appointment sharing as you direct.

4. Provide customer support and communicate with you about Slydyn.

5. Personalize and improve Slydyn, including analytics, research, and product development.

6. Measure campaign effectiveness, including internal reporting and discussions with the providing dealer using non-content interaction metrics.

7. Market Slydyn to you, subject to your preferences and applicable law. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.

8. Protect against fraud, abuse, and security risks, and enforce our agreements and policies.

9. Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

We may de-identify or aggregate information and use or disclose it for any lawful purpose.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary sense of the word. We may share information as described below:

  • With dealers: If you submit an appointment request or interact with dealer content on Slydyn, we share your relevant information with the applicable dealer. Dealers are independent businesses and use your information under their own policies.

  • With service providers: We share information with companies that perform services on our behalf, for example hosting, analytics, communications for SMS and email, security, customer support tools, and payment processing for dealer fees.

  • With affiliates: We may share information with our corporate affiliates, who will use it in accordance with this Privacy Statement or their own privacy policies.

  • For legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information if we believe it is required by law or legal process, to enforce our agreements or policies, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Slydyn, our users, or others.

  • Business transfers: We may disclose or transfer information as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, transaction, or proceeding involving the sale, transfer, or divestiture of all or part of our business or assets.

  • With your direction: We share information when you direct us to do so, for example when you ask us to share appointment details with your household contacts.

Call audio: Slydyn does not provide, operate, forward, record, or monitor dealer phone numbers and does not receive call audio. Any call recording by a dealer is under the dealer’s policies and applicable law.

Your Choices
  • Email and SMS: You can opt out of non-essential emails by using the unsubscribe link in those messages. You can opt out of non-essential SMS by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply. Transactional messages about scheduled appointments may still be sent as permitted by law.

  • Cookie controls: Use your browser settings to manage cookies and, where available, our cookie preferences tool.

  • Location data: You can control precise location sharing in your device settings.

  • Household sharing: Only share appointment details with contacts who have agreed to receive them. Recipients can opt out using the instructions in the message.

  • Marketing preferences: You can update preferences by following the instructions in our messages or by contacting us.

Access, Correction, and Deletion

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we maintain about you, request that we correct inaccuracies, or request deletion. To exercise these rights, submit a request via email at support@slydyn.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

If you maintain an account, you can also review and update certain information directly in your account settings.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide Slydyn, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for other legitimate and lawful business purposes. We consider the nature of the information, the purpose for which it is processed, legal requirements, and potential risks when determining retention periods. We may retain de-identified or aggregate information without limit.

Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services and Links

Slydyn may include links to or integrations with third-party services, for example mapping and navigation, communications providers for SMS and email, analytics, customer support tools, hosting and content delivery, and if introduced, payment processors. Your use of third-party services is subject to those providers’ terms and privacy policies. Slydyn is not responsible for the prices, terms, quality, reliability, availability, or performance of third-party services.

Dealer diagnostics and inspections: Any diagnostic assessments, multi-point inspections, estimates, or repair recommendations are performed by the dealer as part of your service appointment. They are not a warranty or representation by Slydyn and may not identify every issue. Please confirm scope, pricing, and timing directly with the dealer.

California Privacy Notice

This section supplements the Privacy Statement for California residents and describes rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act.

Categories of Personal Information We May Collect

Depending on how you use Slydyn, we may collect the following categories of personal information as defined by California law. Examples are illustrative and do not mean every example is collected.

  • Identifiers: Such as name, email address, phone number, account credentials, IP address, and device identifiers.

  • Customer records: Such as billing contact details for dealer accounts.

  • Commercial information: Such as appointment history and interactions with dealers through Slydyn.

  • Internet or network activity: Such as browsing history on Slydyn, device and usage information, and interactions with our emails or SMS.

  • Geolocation data: Such as approximate location from IP and, if you allow it, precise location from your device.

  • Inferences: Drawn from the information we collect to personalize and improve Slydyn.

  • Sensitive personal information: Such as account log-in and password for your Slydyn account. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under California law.

Sources, Purposes, and Disclosures

We collect personal information from you, your devices, dealers, service providers, partners, public sources, and other sources as described above. We use and disclose personal information for the business and commercial purposes described in How We Use Information and How We Share Information.

“Selling” or “Sharing” for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may allow third-party advertising or analytics providers to collect certain information on Slydyn through cookies and similar technologies for analytics and to help us promote Slydyn. This may be considered “sharing” under California law. You can opt out of this type of sharing by using our cookie preferences tool where available or by emailing support@slydyn.com.

Your California Rights

Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to:

  • Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.

  • Delete personal information we collected from you.

  • Correct inaccurate personal information.

  • Opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information where applicable.

  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

To exercise your rights, submit a request via email at support@slydyn.com. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity. You may use an authorized agent as permitted by law.

Metrics: If required by California law in the future, Slydyn will publish annual metrics about privacy requests.

Other State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Texas may have rights to access, delete, correct, and obtain a copy of personal data, opt out of targeted advertising and certain profiling, and appeal a decision related to a privacy request. To exercise these rights, please submit your request via email at support@slydyn.com. If we deny your request, you may submit an appeal by replying to our decision or emailing support@slydyn.com with “Appeal” in the subject line.

Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit Do Not Track signals. There is no accepted standard for how to respond. At this time, Slydyn does not respond to Do Not Track signals. You can control cookies through your browser and our cookie preferences tool where available.

Changes to this Privacy Statement

We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. If we make material changes, we will change the Effective Date above and, when required by law, provide additional notice.
